- 2 dl/1 cup frozen berries – I have used a mix of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp acai powder
- 20g protein power – I have used vanilla flavoured protein
If you are using a cup start by adding the banana followed by your powder ingredients and finish with your frozen berries.
If you are using a blender pitcher start by adding your frozen berries followed by your powder ingredients and finish with the banana.
Adding your ingredients in this order will ensure you get a smooth and perfectly blended smoothie.
Blend until the mixture has reached a smooth but relatively thick consistency. I use a Ninja Blender Duo.
Serve in a bowl with your favourite toppings!
Liscus tip – The acai powder itself is quite tart and tastes like a mix of nuts, blackberries and cacao, so if you want to make your acai bowl sweeter you can add a bit of honey or agave syrup when mixing it.
