  • 500g good quality chocolate of your choice
  • 1 can (ca 400g) condensed milk
  • 1 dl/0.4 cups icing sugar

    Optional extras:

1 dl/0.4 cups toasted and coarsely chopped almonds or nuts

    Sprinkle of sea salt

Line a rectangular tin with baking paper or tin foil.

Break the chocolate into smaller pieces, make sure that they are all of similar size.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave or over a hot-water bath. Stir often and cook slowly to keep the chocolate from going grainy.

Pour the melted chocolate into a big bowl. Gently stir in a can of condensed milk.

Once thoroughly combined, sift the icing sugar into the mixture and blend.

(Add optional extras – nuts and/or sea salt – to your mixture and stir)

Use a spatula to spread an even layer (roughly 2 cm thick) of the fudge in the pre-prepare tin.

Leave to set in the fridge for 30-60 minutes.

Once set, use the edges of the baking paper/foil to transfer the fudge to your chopping board.

Cut into small pieces and serve.
